“i” the highest quality newspaper at the lowest price!!

Several months ago a brand spanking new newspaper was launched simply called the “i” at a price mark of just 20p.

Created by the amazing people who make the “Independent” the “i” promised a quick but high quality daily read.

The “i” has achieved every goal which it intened to achieve, a quick and straight to the point newspaper.

The one main and best aspect of the “i” is the quality, the writers produce the best and most Intelligent content i have ever had the pleasure of reading.

The sport section is amazing with sports writer of the year James Lawton at the  helm.

The rest of the paper is split between sections covering every aspect of the news which is covered amazingly with spot on reports and quotes from all the relevant sources. Maps, photos and diagrams also provide a quick and easy way to understand the story being reported.

The My view section offers opinions of global stories from different newspapers and well known people.

Of course the “i” comes with a tv guide, puzzle section and readers tweets, texts and e-mails which are standard for any newspaper.

Next to the readers views section is a diary by a very funny man called Cooper Brown, his daily diary (mon to fri) provides a great daily laugh.

One of the best things about the “i” is the layout, articles are straight to the point and set on each page for easy reading, it’s easy to ascertain which artices i have and haven’t read.

Another great thing about the “i” is the fact that it dosen’t include gossip or idle speculation, every story is confirmed or from eye witness accounts, so you won’t read about when certain celebrities are about to pro-create (give birth), buy a can of baked beans or go on vacation.

Due to popular reader demand the “i” recently launched a saturday edition, providing extra content compared to the weekday edition and guest writers such as match of the day pundit Lee Dixon and current QPR manager Neil warnock

The saturday “i” also shoots every other saturday newspaper out of the metaphorical water by being the cheapest saturday edition at just 30p.

As i mentioned earlier the “i” includes a puzzle section which is high quality due to the 4 sudoku puzzles included (thank you i) and the also included wordwheel, math puzzles and crosswords, i mention the puzzle section separately because it is placed incredibly conveniently on the final page which thus makes is easy to slice it out for future puzzling fun!!!

Overall the “i” newspaper is a high quality read without the high price tag, the weekday edition being just 20p and the saturday edition just 10p more at 30p the “i” is a masterpiece in amazing writing and reporting at a budget price.

if you haven’t read the “i” then i suggest you do because i guarantee you won’t regret it.

    Bin Laden dead my view

An American lead special forces operation finally located and killed Osama bin laden, leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda. The US operation into Pakistan was the turning point in the war against terrorism with Bin Laden found in a fortified compound  in the military garrison town of Abbottabad thanks to the work of U.S intelligence, who where able to track Bin laden to Pakistan.  Reports suggest that Bin Laden was asked to surrender by American special forces and was apparently unarmed before being shot in the head. I find it difficult to believe that either Britain or American wanted Bin Laden captured alive for an eventual trial. Even national news broadcasters claim that the Americans where sent on a KILL order and now President Obama has claimed that he won’t release Pictures of his dead body at first I didn’t agree with the decision however the President makes a valid point when saying the the images could cause an “incitement to additional violence” to quote the President “I think that, given the graphic nature of these photos, it would create some national security risk”. There are some people who believe that Bin laden isn’t actually dead given the presidents reluctance to release the images but for me the word of the president of the United States  is sufficient.
Osama Bin laden did many acts of terrorism during his tenure as leader of the al-Qaeda including murdering thousands of people and most notably the events of 9/11 which killed nearly 3000 people. My thoughts go out to the families of the victims of 9/11 and i hope they feel that at least some justice has been done by the death of Osama Bin Laden. Britain an America now feel that the remaining terrorists may plan retaliation strikes against the rest of the world, which is entirely possible and i hope that the American and British intelligence agencies and police forces around the world don’t get complacent and make sure to keep a close guard for any terrorist attacks that may occur. Is this the end for al-Qaeda? only time will tell.

    Gaga hits 185 million !!!

Love her or hate her, influential singer/song writer “lady gaga” real name “Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta ” now has the most watched video on YouTube thanks to her music video for “Bad Romance”

The raunchy fashion icon has had many hits over the last 2 years including “poker face” “Just dance” “bad romance” and “telephone” (the collaboration with RnB superstar Beyonce Knowles)

Gaga’s “Bad romance” music video has scooped more that 185 million views worldwide on YouTube, surpassing the famous “charlie bit my finger” video.

The video itself sees Gaga in an array of different outfits during the 5 minute run time while singing the song.

You could easily be forgiven for thinking its a soft core porn movie at first glance however the video does provide lots of “oooh lala”  and a load of “wtf???” in the space of 5 minutes while staying at a safe PG13 level of viewing.

It’s hard to say whether or not Gaga’s “Bad Romance” will stay at the top, however i don’t believe it will be long before it hits 200 million views.

    Well Done Gaga

    Saw 6 review

Being a long time fan of the “saw” series, I couldn’t resist buying the 6th movie on DVD.

Saw 6 has everything I expected from a “saw” movie, plenty gore, excitement and fear with a solid storyline.

The storyline continues from the previous “saw” movies and it helps to watch them before watching number 6, however 6 it has plenty of gore value to enjoy if you haven’t followed the story from saw 1.

Saw 6 ties up the story nicely while providing the usual dollop of blood n torture.

As usual the special effects are amazing with all the horror /gore scenes looking perfect.
The directing, acting and script are all well done and creates a masterpiece.

All the actors once again pull of an amazing performance to round off a superb horror movies and saw franchise

Rating  10/10 - Plenty of gore, solid story and amazing effects.
